Who We Serve
Two very different problems. Two very different builds.
A 40-unit condo needs resident entry and audit trails. A warehouse needs plate capture at the gate and Wi-Fi that survives steel racking. We don't sell the same package to both.
Resident entry that boards and managers can actually hand off
Condominiums, apartment buildings, HOAs and luxury homes. The hard part usually isn't the cameras — it's turnover. Residents move, fobs vanish, and someone has to manage it without calling a technician every week.
Video intercom at the door. Residents see and buzz in visitors from their phone — from upstairs or from work.
Credentials you can revoke instantly. Move-outs take seconds from a dashboard. No rekeying, no chasing lost fobs.
Plate-recognized gate entry. Residents drive up and the gate opens. Visitors and vendors get logged.
Common-area coverage that settles disputes. Lobbies, garages, pool decks, clubhouses, mail and package rooms.
Retrofits for older buildings. Plenty of South Florida buildings still run on brass keys and a dead lobby intercom. We replace that without gutting the walls.
Typical fits

HOA & gated communities
Luxury & estate homes

Pool decks & clubhouses
Coverage, evidence, and infrastructure that holds up under load
Office buildings, warehouses, hotels, retail and schools. The priority is usually provable coverage of entrances, yards and inventory — on a network that doesn't fold when the floor gets busy.
Gate and lot plate capture. Every vehicle in and out, logged and searchable by plate, with alerts on flagged tags.
AI detection that cuts the noise. Person and vehicle classification, so you review real events instead of every palm frond in the wind.
Role-based door access. Staff, contractors and visitors on separate schedules and credentials, with a full audit trail.
Fiber and structured cabling done right. Backbone between buildings and floors, terminated and documented.
Remote building management. Several properties on one dashboard, managed from anywhere.

Services
Complete smart systems, end to end
Surveillance, entry, network and lighting — designed together as one system rather than bolted on over the years. Tap any service for detail.
Access control is where most buildings have the biggest gap, and it's the work condominiums and HOAs need most. UniFi Access is the platform — controller, readers, credentials and audit trail. The locking hardware is selected to fit your doors and integrated to it, so you get one system instead of a reader bolted onto whatever was already there.
Because access and cameras run on the same platform, every unlock already has video attached. No exporting from two systems and matching timestamps by hand.
We walk the property and map what actually needs to be seen — entries, blind corners, garages, loading areas, amenity spaces. Camera selection follows from that, not the reverse.
Footage records locally on a UniFi NVR, so you own your video and there's no per-camera cloud subscription. Remote viewing still works from anywhere.
Typical build
UniFi ProtectUNVRG6 TurretPoE switching
Standard motion detection fires on shadows, rain and passing traffic. Within a week most people mute the alerts, and then the system is decorative.
AI cameras classify what triggered the event, so you can set alerts worth receiving. Line-crossing and zone rules let you watch a specific fence line, gate or doorway.
Typical build
AI ProSmart detection zonesLine-crossing rulesTargeted alerting
Every vehicle entering or leaving gets logged with its plate, timestamped and searchable. When you need to know who was on the property at 2am last Tuesday, you type a plate instead of scrubbing hours of footage.
Plate lists can trigger actions — open a gate for known residents, alert on a flagged vehicle. Placement and lighting matter enormously here, which is most of what we get right.
Typical build
UniFi AI LPRPlate list automationGate integrationLow-light tuning
Built for buildings where nobody sits at a front desk. A visitor presses a name, the resident's phone rings with live video, and they unlock the door remotely.
Every entry is logged with video, which settles the "I never let anyone in" conversation quickly. Deliveries and contractors get temporary access instead of a shared code that never changes.
Typical build
UniFi IntercomMobile answeringDirectory & call routingEntry video log
The gate is where most gated communities actually lose control — a code everyone knows, a clicker that's been copied, a call box nobody answers. We tie the gate into the same platform as your cameras and credentials.
Residents get plate recognition or phone credentials. Visitors and vendors get logged with video and, if you want, temporary access that expires on its own.
Access control decides who's allowed through. This is the door itself — the operator, the closer, the hardware and the activation. It's the part residents physically touch every day, so when it's wrong they complain about it constantly.
We handle powered swing and slide operators, ADA push-plate and touchless activation, electrified panic hardware for code-required egress, and vestibule sequencing so two doors don't fight each other.
Typical build
Automatic door operatorsADA push-plateTouchless activationPanic hardwareVestibule sequencing
Most bad Wi-Fi isn't a hardware problem — it's placement and channel planning. We survey the space, model coverage, and mount access points where they'll work rather than where cable already runs.
Resident, staff, guest and device traffic get separated properly, so somebody streaming video can't degrade your camera network or a hotel's point-of-sale.
Cameras, doors, access points and lighting all depend on the cable underneath them. When that layer is improvised, everything above it fails intermittently in ways that are miserable to diagnose.
We pull Cat6/6a to standard, terminate and test every run, document what goes where, and label both ends — so the next person to work on it, including us, isn't guessing.
Copper runs out at about 100 metres, which in a multi-building property or a tower means you either chain switches badly or run fiber. Fiber is also immune to the electrical noise and lightning-induced surges that come with South Florida buildings.
We handle single and multimode runs, termination and splicing, patch panels and media conversion — connecting gatehouses, clubhouses, parking structures and separate towers back to the core.
Typical build

Most building IDF closets are a knot of unlabeled cable on a plywood board. It works until it doesn't, and then troubleshooting costs hours nobody budgeted.
We build proper racks: switches and gateways mounted, patch panels terminated and labeled, cable managed and dressed, UPS and surge protection, and ventilation so equipment isn't cooking in a closet in August.
Typical build

Common-area lighting is one of a building's largest running costs and one of its most common complaints — corridors lit all night, a dark garage stairwell, pool deck lights nobody remembers to switch. Scheduling and occupancy sensing fixes both the bill and the complaints.
We install smart lighting control for commercial buildings and residential properties: time-of-day schedules, occupancy and daylight sensing, zoning by floor or area, scenes for amenity spaces, and app or wall control. It can tie into the same system as your cameras and access, so a door event or a detected person can trigger light.

If you manage more than one property, logging into a separate system for each is the actual problem. We link sites so cameras, doors, gates, Wi-Fi and lighting across your whole portfolio appear together, with remote access from anywhere.
For outbuildings, gatehouses and parking structures where trenching isn't practical, wireless bridges carry the network across — hundreds of feet to several miles depending on line of sight.

Why UniFi
One ecosystem beats five vendors stapled together.
Most buildings accumulate systems over years: cameras from one brand, a separate access panel, an intercom nobody can update, and consumer Wi-Fi behind all of it. Each piece has its own app, its own login, its own monthly fee and its own support number.
We standardized on UniFi so the whole building shares one interface and one user list. When something breaks there's one place to look — and when you add a door, a gate or a building later, it joins what you already have.
Straight answer on cost: UniFi records locally, so there are no mandatory per-camera monthly licenses like Ring, Nest or Verkada charge. You pay for hardware and installation once. That usually wins on a three-year view, and your footage stays yours.

The hardware we deploy
We standardize on a tested set of UniFi equipment, so we know exactly how it behaves in a South Florida building — heat, humidity, concrete and salt air. Click any category to see the models we specify most.
UDM-ProRack-mount 10G gateway for buildings up to ~100 UniFi devices. Our default for mid-size properties.
UDM-Pro-MaxSame form factor, roughly double the device capacity. For large towers and multi-building sites.
UDM-SE10G gateway with 180W PoE built in — powers cameras and readers without a separate switch on smaller jobs.
UDM-BeastHyperscale gateway for the largest portfolios and campuses.
UCG-FiberCompact 10G desktop gateway with integrated fiber. Good fit where fiber lands directly.
UCG-UltraCompact gateway for small offices, single-family homes and gatehouses.
UCG-IndustrialRuggedized and fanless. For garages, mechanical rooms and unconditioned spaces.
UDWDream Wall — wall-mounted 10G gateway with Wi-Fi built in and 420W PoE. Tidy option for a lobby closet.
One PTZ can cover ground that would otherwise take four fixed cameras — and follow a person or vehicle across it. For parking structures, yards and large gated perimeters it's usually the better economics.
UVC-G6-PTZ4K dual-lens with 10x hybrid zoom. Wide situational view plus a zoom lens that tracks detail.
UVC-AI-PTZIndustrial-grade 4K PoE++ with enhanced AI detection. Built for demanding outdoor sites.
UVC-AI-PTZ-PrecisionIndustrial 4K precision model for long-range identification across big open areas.
UVC-G5-PTZCompact all-weather PTZ with ultra-low-latency control. Good where size matters.
UVC-AI-360Indoor/outdoor 2K with full 360 coverage and PTZ. Strong for lobbies and garage levels.
LPR isn't one product — it's a camera, a gate controller and a plate list working together. Getting the angle, mounting distance and lane lighting right is most of the job.
UVC-AI-LPRPurpose-built 4K plate camera with 3x optical zoom and long-range capture. The core of any LPR install.
UA-Hub-GateGate controller that opens on a recognized plate and logs everything else.
UVC-AI-ProOften paired alongside for the wide contextual view — who was driving, what else was in frame.
UNVR-G2-ProRecorder with built-in AI event processing, so plate searches return quickly.
Copper stops at about 100 metres. Past that you either run fiber or bridge it wirelessly — and on an occupied property, not trenching is often worth a great deal.
UBB-XG60GHz point-to-point bridge with a 10G SFP+ uplink. Highest throughput over distance.
UBB60GHz point-to-point with a 5GHz backup radio for weather resilience.
UDB-Pro5GHz bridge with PoE output — powers a camera or reader at the far end.
UDB-Pro-SectorPoint-to-multipoint for linking several outbuildings from one location.
USW-Pro-XG-Aggregation25G fiber aggregation where multiple buildings converge on the core.
These are the models we specify most — not Ubiquiti's full catalogue, which runs to roughly 200 products across these categories. Every link above goes to Ubiquiti's live store so you can always see current models and pricing. What we actually quote depends on your building; we'll specify it after the site visit.
The Platform
Don't take our word for it — check the platform yourself
We're a small Miami company, so we don't expect you to take our claims on faith. The system we build on is public, verifiable and used at scale worldwide. Here's how to check it.

A note on testimonials: you won't find customer quotes on this page. Plenty of contractor sites carry reviews you can't verify, and we'd rather not add to that. Ask us for references directly and we'll connect you with real clients — or check our Google reviews as they build up.
Our Process
From consultation to install
No quote over the phone from a camera count. Bad designs are almost always decided before anyone picks up a drill.
Initial consultation
We talk through what prompted the call and what the property needs. Free, and no obligation to go further.
Site visit
We walk the property — entries, blind spots, existing cabling and network, and the conditions that affect placement.
System design
We work from your floor plan to design placement optimized for real coverage, not guesswork about how far a camera or access point reaches.
Proposal & coverage maps
A fixed quote with device placement plus camera and Wi-Fi coverage maps, so you see exactly what you're buying before committing.
Installation
All at once, or phased so an occupied building isn't disrupted. Clean routing, proper terminations, labeled at the rack.

About Rexus
Based in Miami. Thirteen years of doing this properly.
Rexus Automation has been designing and deploying building infrastructure across South Florida for more than 13 years — from luxury homes in the Keys to condominium towers and warehouses up the coast.
We're deliberately small and hands-on. The person who walks your property is the person who designs the system and the person you call when you need something changed. There's no call center in between.
We standardized on UniFi because it let us stop being a vendor-integration service and start being genuinely good at one platform. Thirteen system types, one dashboard, one team that knows all of it — surveillance, access control and door hardware, gates, Wi-Fi, cabling, fiber and smart lighting.
We work in English and Spanish, which across Miami-Dade matters more than most of our competitors seem to think it does.

Not for recording. UniFi stores footage locally on an NVR at your property, so unlike Ring, Nest or Verkada there's no mandatory per-camera licence to keep your video. You pay for hardware and installation. An optional ongoing support agreement is quoted separately if you want one.
The whole door. UniFi Access is the platform — controller, readers, credentials and audit trail — and we install the physical hardware that goes with it: magnetic locks, electric strikes, electrified panic hardware, door position sensors, gate operators, call boxes and ADA automatic door operators. The locking and gate hardware is selected to suit your specific doors and integrated to the UniFi platform, so it runs as one system rather than a reader bolted onto whatever was there.
Key fobs and access cards, PIN keypads, phone and smartwatch tap, biometric or fingerprint readers, and temporary codes for visitors, deliveries or contractors. Most buildings run a mix — fobs for residents, phone credentials for staff, temporary codes for vendors. All managed from one dashboard and revocable instantly.
Yes, we're insured and can provide documentation for your board, property manager or general contractor before work starts. Just ask during the consultation and we'll send it over — it's a normal request and we'd rather handle it up front than hold up your approval process.
Yes, and it's a lot of what we do — plenty of South Florida buildings are still running on brass keys and a lobby intercom that stopped working years ago. Existing cable runs and door prep are frequently reusable even when the hardware isn't, and that's usually where the labor cost sits. We assess what's there and tell you honestly what's worth keeping.
Yes. If you manage multiple properties we link them so cameras, doors, gates, Wi-Fi and lighting across the portfolio appear on a single dashboard with remote access. For outbuildings, gatehouses and remote parking where trenching isn't practical, wireless bridges or fiber carry the network across.
Yes — commercial and residential. Common-area lighting is one of a building's biggest running costs and a frequent source of complaints: corridors lit all night, a dark garage stairwell, pool lights nobody remembers. We install scheduling, occupancy and daylight sensing, zoning by floor or area, and app or wall control. It can tie into the same platform as your cameras and access, so a door event or detected person can trigger light.
Yes — consultations, installation and ongoing support in English or Spanish. Se habla español. Across Miami-Dade in particular, that means your residents, staff or board members get answers directly rather than through a translator.
A luxury home or small office is typically one to two days. A mid-size commercial site is usually several days. Multi-building or occupied condominium work gets phased so residents and operations aren't disrupted. You'll get a schedule with the design, before you commit to anything.
The full South Florida corridor — Monroe County (the entire Keys, Key Largo to Key West), Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County up through West Palm Beach. If you're just outside that, call and ask; for larger commercial projects we travel further up the coast.
Yes. We configure it, train your team, and stay reachable for changes — adding a camera, onboarding a new resident, adjusting alerts, or troubleshooting. Remote support handles most of it; we come out when it needs hands.
